The goal of FIRA Autonomous Cars Race Challenge is to encourage researchers designing and implementing an autonomous car and finally build this long-lived human imagination. Due to the various issues and problems of holding matches in person, the National Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran FIRA is organizing this league in virtual simulation this year. These competitions are held in two sections, urban Track and Race Track
The National Robotics Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran FIRA has designed a special simulator for the participants of this competition, which will be provided to the participants for free.
The goal in the Race Track is to drive at the maximum possible speed on the track, passing certain points and not hitting obstacles. In urban Track, the simulated car must follow a certain route correctly, without encountering obstacles and reach the destination.Participants can not intervene and the simulated car must use the traffic signs installed on the side of the streets.
Artificial intelligence algorithms that are developed during these competitions can create a good basis for moving towards autonomous cars in the future. The public acceptance of semi-autonomous cars, which are being produced by many companies around the world today, indicates the need to create and develop these types of cars.
